Terri Hartwell Easter Terri has over 25 years of experience managing all facets of Human Resources including professional and organizational development. In 2007, she started her own consulting practice focused on increasing diversity in private law firms. Through her practice, she assists clients in recruiting attorneys and senior managers, strategic planning, change management and diversity related conflict resolution. Before starting her practice, she was the Chief Operating Officer of a major Washington, DC firm. In addition to working in a legal setting, Terri has work experience from management consulting, banking and in the Carter White House. Throughout her career, she has had responsibility for the development of professionals across disciplines and has been particularly successful in coaching professionals interested in transitioning their careers from one area of specialty to another. She received graduate training at Harvard and Howard Universities and has a BS in Business Administration from Southeastern University. top |

Marcia E. Heister is an executive coach, consultant, and former practicing attorney in the private and corporate sector, with 25 years experience in private practice, beginning practice with a national law firm and later serving as general counsel of several public and private companies. She created the general counsel function at several of these companies. Marcia brings significant expertise in assisting attorneys and executives on an individual basis with career development, goal setting and accomplishment, communication, interpersonal skills and professional effectiveness. In addition, Marcia has served as a legal management consultant in the areas of law department development, operations and evaluation and client relationship programs. Marcia holds a J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, and a B.A. from Hood College. Lisa Mead has over 20 years of client counseling experience. She spent the past fifteen years at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law serving for eight years as assistant dean and director of career services, judicial clerkships and externships for academic credit, as well as five years as associate dean and dean of students, and three years as founding dean of the office of public service. She previously served as a directing attorney and law fellow at Public Counsel, a Los Angeles public interest and pro bono agency. She has served on the board of directors for the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), chair of the NALP Public Service Committee, and as an executive committee member of the student services section of Association of American Law Schools. Maureen Krantz Prior to joining Shannon & Manch, Maureen was a Director at Stanford Law School's Office of Career Services. She has vast experience navigating lawyers through an individualized job search from self-assessment of their interests and skills to negotiating a job offer. Maureen has presented workshops on networking, writing resumes and cover letters, and interview skills. Maureen has worked closely with the recruiting managers of private firms, non-profit organizations and government agencies, and was a member of the Association of Legal Career Professionals and the Bay Area Legal Recruiting Association. Maureen has a deep interest in helping attorneys make career decisions best suited to their skills, background and personality. Natasha Patel Prior to joining Shannon and Manch, Natasha Patel served as Interim Dean/Director at Columbia Law School Office of Career Services. During this time, she:
As part of the City Bar, chair the subcommittee on retention, and conducted interviews for diversity fellowship selection. A Georgia native, Natasha earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in Athens. She ventured west for law school, graduating from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. She worked as litigation associate at Morrison and Foerster in the Bay Area and then at Pryor Cashman in New York. She then worked as a staff attorney at Cravath Swaine & Moore. Afterward, she earned her Master's degree in Psychology at Columbia, where she focused on both counseling and organizational psychology. She continues to serve as a consultant to Columbia Law School. top |

| Doug Richardson Adjunct Career Advisor/Coach Philadelphia, PA richardson@shannonandmanch.com Following his early legal career as a large firm litigator and federal prosecutor, over the next 35 years Doug Richardson built a strong national reputation in outplacement, career consulting/development and vocational assessment. Doug was one of the founding Principals of Manchester, Inc., which became the second largest career management firm in the US, and he later served as Director of Key Executive Services for Right Management Consultants, working exclusively with C-level executives and lawyers. Doug is known for his particular expertise in leadership development and career management with lawyers. Diane Schaefer Diane Schaefer offers a unique perspective in attorney coaching and career counseling. Diane is an ardent proponent of branding and positioning in the context of one's career, and she advocates that anyone can market him or herself into a viable position if they find the right niche. Diane worked as an attorney in New York with prominent international law firms including Cleary Gottlieb and Weil Gotshal before transitioning to a position as Managing Director of one of the top attorney recruiting firms in the country. Diane ultimately founded her own specialized niche marketing firm, Resume Ipsa Loquitur, where she provides coaching, career counseling, interview preparation, and resume and marketing services to attorneys in transition, and more recently, Attorney Dossier, a marketing and branding firm that produces web sites, blogs, web content, press releases, and advertising and marketing materials for solo practitioners and small law firms. Deborah Katz Solomon is an executive coach who specializes in professional development, leadership and marketing coaching for lawyers in both the public and private sectors. Deborah works with attorneys at all levels of experience and her coaching practice is international in scope. Prior to becoming an executive coach, Deborah practiced law with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in New York and Washington, D.C., where her practice focused on antitrust and class action litigation.
