Students and laterals tell us most interviewers conduct interviews that do not uncover the full extent of their skills and experience, and say most interviewers also fail to communicate meaningful reasons for choosing their firm as an employer.

Preparing for Fall Recruiting

We focus attention on strategies for effective on-campus and callback interviewing. Discussing law student demographics, the nuances of the law school recruitment process, effective selling techniques, strategies for attracting a diverse workforce, and hiring trends, we give hiring teams the tools they need to use recruiting time wisely. We can also interview candidates who participated in the OCI process as well as recent hires of the firm to add depth to this training approach.

Lateral Hiring

This session explores the difference between hiring experienced and entry-level lawyers. We focus on effective techniques for conducting a careful resume review, developing questions designed to get the most possible information from the candidate, and evaluating the more experienced lawyer. We can conduct a focus group of recent laterals to gather information that will add depth to this presentation.
