Training for Your Hiring TeamHow many to hire, who to hire, and what level of experience to look for are just a few of the critical questions facing recruiting teams each year. Preparing for Fall Recruiting This program helps mentors get off to a good start in their mentoring relationships with junior lawyers. Focusing on communication skills, career guidance, and other elements of a successful advising role, participants will gain perspective on their roles as mentors.Lateral Hiring This session explores the difference between hiring experienced and entry-level lawyers. We focus on effective techniques for conducting a careful resume review, developing questions designed to get the most possible information from the candidate, and evaluating the more experienced lawyer. We can conduct a focus group of recent laterals to gather information that will add depth to this presentation.A Developmental Approach to Performance Management This workshop is designed for supervisory lawyers who want to hone performance management strategies and techniques. Based on a case study model, this program takes participants through the five core supervisory functions and encourages active discussion of existing challenges. |
